Biography

Jeremy Pearson is Associate Medical Director for Research at the British Heart Foundation, with responsibility for managing research partnerships with other funders. His post-doctoral research career, working first at the Babraham Institute and then the MRC Clinical Research Centre in Harrow before moving to King’s College London in 1991, was as an endothelial cell biologist. He became the UKs first Professor of Vascular Biology at KCL, where he still holds an Emeritus chair.  He was elected as a fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2004 and as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006.  He was a member of the UoA1 (Clinical Medicine) panel for REF 2014.
