Jo O'Leary

Biography 

Jo is the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Strategy Directorate at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Jo started in this role in August 2020 having previously been Head of Funding Delivery for the Biotechnology and Bioscience Research Council. Prior to that, Jo worked as a research facilitator after completing post-doctoral position in structural biology. Jo and her team are working with people across UKRI on the development of the UKRI EDI strategy, and are leading programmes on developing the foundations for more inclusive research and innovation communities and tackling and preventing bullying and harassment.
