Linda Matthews

I am Senior Lecturer in academic development in the University Teaching Academy (UTA) at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). My current role involves co-ordinating the university’s academic workshop programme, new teacher development and involvement with curriculum enhancement initiatives. I work with PGRs as they prepare to take on teaching responsibilities, having identified a gap in the CPD provision back in 2007, I have been leading and developing practice in this area within MMU ever since. I have a particular interest in developing PGRs new to teaching though techniques already familiar to them such as observation, critical thinking and reflection.
