Rund Awwad

Rund Awwad is an engineering doctoral student and a Research Excellence Scholar at the University of Technology Sydney-Australia. Rund is the first Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency/Mechanical Engineering Graduate in Jordan, and first-class of honor from the University of Jordan. Rund was a research fellow with La Sapienza- the University of Rome, and a Fellow Engineer of Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory, San Francisco. Rund is a 2015 Techwomen Leader, Silicon Valley, and is a winner of the State Department - International Institute of Education Award for Women in Green Technology pitched in Google Headquarters-San Francisco. Rund has run for Jordan’s 18th Parliament in 2016, and she was close to winning, with almost three thousand votes – mainly cast by those thirsty for change.  Rund was the CEO of Jordan’s most powerful national organization for energy, she owns an energy consultancy company and has also worked for the government of Jordan and Dubai, and international organizations and NGOs.
