Biography
Sharon is passionate about education in all its guises and works to influence being guided by this purpose. In her role as Director GGRS, Sharon supports the research training goals and aspirations of Griffith University and the international sector more broadly by promoting best practice in policy and practice and benchmarking against international standards.
Griffith University is recognised as one of the world's best young universities - ranked in the top 50 under 50 (QS Rankings) and also in the top two per cent of institutions worldwide. Griffith is globally known for its high-impact research, outstanding student experience, commitment to social justice and sustainability and welcoming and inclusive environment.
Originally from the UK, Sharon was a member of the Vitae Researcher Developer Advisory Group (ViRDAG) and held a Researcher Development Consultant role at the University of Cambridge from 2011 until 2015. She holds a combination of academic, practitioner and consulting experience across a range of international sectors and supports the pursuit of mutually beneficial outcomes.
She has particular interests in early career researcher and doctoral career transitions, graduate outcomes and employability as well as a research background in leadership development and change management in a changing global context.
