Dr Sonja Reiland works at the international and scientific affairs office (ISA), which supports the CRG director. Besides managing the European coordinated project LIBRA (eu-libra.eu), Sonja participates at the CRG in the development of institutional policies (such as concerning Gender Equality and Open Access), and supports institutional collaborations to increase internationalisation of the institute. She obtained her PhD at ETH Zurich, followed by a short post-doctoral experience at EMBL Heidelberg. After her career in academic research working in diverse fields of Life Sciences Sonja changed to the private sector. She worked for BASF in Ludwigshafen as an Information Professional for 2 years, supporting scientists and patent attorneys in strategic decisions.
