Biography

Susan Brooks

Susan completed her PhD, in pathology, at University College London Medical School in 1990. She joined Oxford Brookes University, initially as a Senior Lecturer in Cell Biology in 1995. She continues in her academic role and, since 2006, has also  led researcher development for research students and research-active staff at all levels across the University. Susan is the institutional 'senior management champion' for the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, and leads for the HR Excellence in Research Award for Oxford Brookes University. She was promoted to Professor in 2016, based partly on her leadership of researcher development.
