Biography
Alison has provided writing training and mentoring support for researchers at the University of Surrey since 2011 and has extensive international experience of Academic English teaching. She has a particular interest in writing skills development for high-impact journal manuscripts and funding applications. Alison also provides cultural awareness training and mentoring for researchers, vital in today’s international research environment. This interest arises from her doctoral research into the impact of Sino-European engagement on theological perceptions of reality. Outside of the University of Surrey, Alison has delivered training programmes and workshops to other organisations, including the Society for Research in Higher Education (SRHE), Pirbright Laboratories, University of Kent, Christ Church University, Winchester University and York St John University.
