Biography
Andrea joined Queen Mary as a Careers Consultant in 2017 from the technology and education sectors.
In 2016-17 she was the Account Director for TransportAPI, a company selling transport intelligence. There, she managed corporate clients including Heathrow Airport and First Group. Prior to that she spent 3 years at the Open Data Institute, a non-profit company set up by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, founder of the Web.
Andrea began her career in secondary education - and this was where she became fascinated with career guidance and its role in widening participation. After gaining her BA in Modern History from Oxford University she qualified as a teacher through the TeachFirst programme. She then spent three years working at Lammas School in east London finishing as Head of History in her final year.
