Biography

Christina Miller is Director of the UK Research Office (UKRO), the UK Research Councils' European Office.

UKRO’s mission is to promote effective UK engagement in EU research, innovation and higher education activities by providing information, guidance and strategic advice on funding opportunities and associated European policies. UKRO currently receives subscriptions from around 140 universities and other research organisations, and is also the UK National Contact Point for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and the European Research Council (ERC).  More information on UKRO can be found at: http://www.ukro.ac.uk/aboutukro/Pages/index.aspx

As Director, Christina is responsible for the management of the Office, for the development and implementation of the Office strategy, and for relations with stakeholders. She also has overall responsibility for contact with other key external organisations such as the European Institutions, Government Departments and Universities UK, and for monitoring policy developments.  Christina has over nine years’ experience working in Brussels, she joined UKRO in 2005 as a European Advisor and subsequently Deputy Director and has been in her current role since March 2012. Throughout her time in the Office she has played a lead role on UKRO's work on activities relating to simplification of the Framework Programme, and its Rules for Participation.
