Head, Research Development and Support
Emma has been working in HE for nearly 30 years, with a career spanning Academic Secretary, Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement, and now works within Research Development at the University of Central Lancashire. Her primary roles are: a) the development of training portfolios for PGR and postdocs; b) ethics officer for the university and c) editor of the University research magazine. Her background is philosophy and person centred therapy and she is a qualified Trainer who enjoys contributing to a range of the programmes that UCLan offer, as a facilitator. Her passion is helping others to achieve their professional goals, and supporting them in that by facilitating easy access to appropriate training and support. Outside of work, her passion is animal rescue, almost anything with fur, feathers or fins.
