Diana Galiakhmetova

Biography

Diana Galiakhmetova received the B.S. and M.S. degrees with first-class honours in Physics in 2018 (Kazan Federal University, Russia) and 2020 (The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Moscow, Russia). She is pursuing a PhD degree in Photonics at AiPT, Aston University, Birmingham, UK.  

Her research interests include the development of ultrashort pulsed lasers and amplifiers for biomedical applications and the study of medical diagnostics and treatment methods using optogenetics tools. 

Ms Galiakhmetova’s awards and honours include a grant from the Russian Science Foundation, Skoltech Scholarship, EAS Postgraduate Research Studentship, and the Return to Research Grant, Rank Prize.
