Dr. Douglas Eacersall

Biography

Dr Douglas Eacersall, is a Senior Lecturer (Researcher Development) at the University of Southern Queensland (UniUSQ), Australia. His research interests are in doctoral education, and research development and training. He is also working on a forthcoming book with Springer Nature investigating the doctoral journey from the perspectives of a student and research training professional. Douglas is passionate about researcher training, especially as it relates to early-career researchers and research students. Dr Jennifer Rowland is the Faculty Director of the Master of Research program and Research Training Director for the Medical School at Macquarie University, Australia (2016 ). She began focusing on the professional development of researchers and research leaders when joining Helsinki University (20112015). Prior to this, she worked as a medical research fellow in London, New Zealand, and Portugal. Jennifer is particularly interested in community development, and communities of practice, project management for researchers, and effective research leadership and practice.
