Biography
Ann is Head of the Centre for Staff Development at Aston University. Ann has overall responsibility for all aspects of training and development at Aston. Within her team Ann has particular responsibility for the ‘Supporting Research' theme of work, and this includes the development and delivery of research skills training for research students across the institution, and the implementation of the Concordat for Research Staff. Ann has a PhD in Biochemistry, and in the early part of her career was an academic and researcher. She changed career in 1992, becoming programme leader for the PGCert in Learning and Teaching within the Staff Development Unit at the University of Birmingham, before moving to Aston University in 2003.
