Biography

As cross-departmental institution of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences the iGRAD offers training, services and counselling to all doctoral researchers, postdocs and supervisors of the faculty. Being the umbrella institution for 17 Graduate Schools, Research Training Groups, Collaborative Research Centres, etc. the iGRAD offers centralised organisation structures, support in executing modern standards of structured PhD education and a systematic curriculum in transferable skills. Christian studied biology where he gained his doctoral degree in Prion Research. Christian has been working within the area of development, implementation and management of structured doctoral education programs at Heinrich-Heine-University since six years. Next to the managerial aspects of this position he offers trainings and conflict counselling for early stage researchers.
