Dr Claire Slight has a keen interest in Higher Education, in particular understanding the student journey in terms of students’ motivations, development, and transitions. Claire currently works as part of the surveys team at the Higher Education Academy where she is leading on the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey in 2017. In 2015 Claire completed her PhD which explored the university to career transitions of music students studying master’s degrees. Claire has experience working within a number of research roles within higher education exploring students’ experiences during their time in higher education.
