Biography
Harry Tagbor was a clinical lecturer at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK where he coordinated a multi-country trial to evaluate methods for the prevention of malaria in pregnancy in the context of high coverage with insecticide treated nets and declining, seasonal malaria transmission funded by EDCTP through MiP Consortium.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi – Ghana.
He is medically qualified and a Public Health Specialist. Prior to joining the University he had worked as Senior Medical Officer and Director of Health Services in the Nkoranza district of Ghana from 1995 to 2006.
He is also the Coordinator of the Malaria Capacity Development Consortium at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi – Ghana. His research interests include epidemiology and control of malaria including evaluating malaria control interventions and investigating implementation strategies.
