Biography

Dr Jane Dalton is a Researcher Development Officer at the University of York. Jane started her career as a biomedical scientist for the National Blood transfusion service in Southampton before moving to the University of Leeds where she obtained her PhD in Immunology. She moved to the University of York to work in the department of Biology as a Research Associate in 2005. During her successful research career in Biology she established the ‘Biology Post-doc Society’ a thriving research staff association. After her fourteen- year career as a researcher Dr Dalton decided it was time for a change and has recently moved to the Researcher Development Team at the University of York where she is responsible for supporting the personal and professional development of Postgraduate Research Students (PGRs) and Early Career Researcher Staff (ECRs).
