Dr Julie Reeves is the Researcher Development Coordinator at the University of Southampton, UK, and has worked with postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers and academic staff in professional development since 2002.  Her academic background is in politics and international relations, and she taught in Eastern Europe for the Civic Education Project.  She was a key contributor to the Vitae Researcher Development Framework/Statement.  She is a member of the CIPD and co-convenor of the SRHE Postgraduate Issues Network.  She has contributed to several publications on professional development and recently co-authored 'Developing Transferable Skills: Enhancing your research and employment potential' with Professor Pam Denicolo.
