Dr Kate Mahoney is passionate about developing people. Since completing her PhD, she has worked in professional development roles delivering professional development training in universities across the UK. For eight years, Kate managed the Vitae Midlands Hub designing and developing national training programmes especially for post graduate and early career researchers.

After the closure of the Hub, Kate moved to IGGY to manage a team of e-learning  education providers and PhD mentors to produce high quality and engaging e-learning for 13-18yr olds worldwide.

Kate now works as an independent professional development consultant and specialises working with clients who want to improve their communication skills in order to make an impact. Kate is now expanding her own communication skills and training to become a Civil Celebrant to conduct weddings, naming ceremonies and vow renewals; helping people communicate commitment at the most special times in their lives.
