Biography 

Katrien Daemen-de Gelder gained her PhD in English Literature in 2001. After spending 9 years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Ghent University, she turned to research administration and policy. She is currently working as a policy advisor to the Ghent University Doctoral Schools. She organizes several career-related activities for PhDs students, among which the annual Job Market for Young Researchers.
