Biography
Louise is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute studying protein trafficking in immune cells. During her time at the Beatson, and in her previous role at the Roslin Institute, Louise has chaired Research Staff Associations and represented postdoctoral researchers on a number of committees aimed at furthering researcher development and giving postdocs a greater voice. Louise is particularly interested in improving the researcher experience to make academia a more inclusive and realistic career option.
Louise is Co-Chair of the UK Research Staff Association (UKRSA). UKRSA, in association with Vitae, aims to provide a collective voice for research staff across the UK, through building researcher communities and influencing policy. Louise is also a postdoctoral research assistant at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute.
