Biography

Dr Nicola Woodward has a PhD in Colloid Science and has worked as a member of research staff at the Institute of Food Research for twelve years. During her time at the Institute she has acted as a research staff representative on a number of strategic groups contributing to career development activities, and engaging with research staff on research staff issues. Nicola is currently co-chair of UKRSA, representing research staff at both regional and national level in relation to training, resources, career development, and in relation to policy affecting research staff. Nicola is also the UKRSA regional representative for the East of England Region, and has represented research staff at the national level through her involvement with external steering groups and working groups.
