Biography
Rebekah Smith McGloin is Research Capability Development Manager at Coventry University. Her current role focuses on the development of people and the implementation of systems and structures to support growth in research activity; from postgraduate to professor.
Rebekah used to be the Doctoral Training Programmes Manager at the University of Nottingham where she developed expertise in postgraduate funding, configuration, set-up and delivery of doctoral training programmes. She is experienced in strategy development and implementation (institution-wide and programme-specific) and income generation for doctoral programmes. She is Chair of the National Training Group for the Doctoral Training Alliance in Applied Biosciences for Health.
She is a member of the UKCGE Executive Committee and of the UKCGE National Working Group on Diversity and Sustainability of Organisational Structures for Doctoral Provision.
She is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and has been twice short-listed for Times Higher Awards for Outstanding Support for Early Career Researchers.
