Biography 

Rob is the Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP) manager for the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). He also leads various projects to support BBSRC's wider innovation and skills strategy, with a focus on postgraduate research students and postdoctoral research staff.

Prior to joining BBSRC he completed my PhD in genetics at the University of Leicester (2007) followed by postdoctoral research appointments at the University of Leicester and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (2007-12). In that time he was an active member of the UK Research Staff Association (UKRSA) including a year as its co-chair (2011-12).
