Biography

Dr Sian Vaughan is Senior Research Fellow and Keeper of Archives in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media at Birmingham City University. She is an art historian by training whose research interests concern the interpretation and mediation of engagement with contemporary Art & Design through the modalities of public art, arts research and the archive. Recent work has questioned the conceptualisation and methodology of the archive in relation to creative practice, and prompted a wider consideration of research practices and doctoral student experience in Art & Design.
