Biography

Dr Simon Watts is PGR Training Coordinator and Deputy Head of the Graduate School in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of East Anglia, UK. He is responsible for organising all the research, professional development, and advanced training programs for PGR students within the faculty and teaches extensively on these courses. Simon also delivers a series of online training sessions for PGR students studying at ten different UK universities as part of the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) Doctoral Training Partnership and is UEA’s representative on the SeNSS training group. Approximately 600 PGR students attended his online training sessions in the academic year 2016-17. He primarily publishes instructional papers in the areas of research methodology and research skills and his various book and journal publications have been cited more than 2000 times in the last five years.
