Biography
Tom Hartley is a neuroscientist and lecturer in psychology at the University of York. His current research looks at how different types of information are represented in the brain, with a particular focus on memory and especially spatial cognition: how do we find our way around and why do we sometimes get lost? This work has led him to consider the extent to which different people’s brains might be suited to different skills and the brain changes that result from learning.
