Biography
Dr Tom Price is a biologist studying sex and selfish genes at the Institute of Integrative Biology in the University of Liverpool. Besides his academic research and teaching, he has been running workshops for PhD students on the risks of poor mental wellbeing during postgraduate degrees since 2014. He also runs training workshops for PhD supervisors about ways to support postgraduate students. He is academic lead on a project within his Institute and the wider university, aiming to understand the mental health challenges postgraduates face, and to improve support through raising awareness, increasing training, and establishing peer support networks.
