Dr. Cathy Coombs

Biography

Cathy coordinates development opportunities for postgraduate researchers (PGRs) at Manchester Metropolitan University, working across the University’s four faculties to provide core training as well as wider opportunities for professional development and community building. Cathy draws on fifteen years’ HE experience, as an academic and in professional services, working with students at all degree levels. Her particular interests lie in professional skill development, supporting wellbeing and self-care in research, and promoting PGRs as members of their institutional research culture and community.
