Dr Sophie Jones
Biography
Sophie H. Jones is a historian of the British Atlantic. After receiving her PhD from the University of Liverpool in 2018, she was employed for 4.5 years as PDRA on two AHRC-funded projects, based at Keele University and the Unviersity of Liverpool. At Liverpool, Sophie was a Co-Chair of the University’s Research Staff Association, where she provided important postdoc representation on various Faculty-level, University-level, and UK-wide committees, including working with UUK in 2023 as part of their Research Culture & Practice Forum’s steering group. From September 2023, Sophie will be Lecturer in Modern British History at the University of Liverpool.
