Biography
Duncan is the Research Staff and Student Development Adviser at Loughborough University, based in the Centre for Academic Practice and working with the Graduate School. Duncan moved to Loughborough at the start of 2015, having previously been at University of Leicester as Research Skills Developer for five years, following a short stint at University of Nottingham. He received his PhD from University of Otago, New Zealand in 2004, having studied the mechanisms behind starch breakdown in apples. Duncan enjoys working with a wide range of academic disciplines, and is particularly interested in how researchers from different disciplines can communicate effectively with each other.
