Biography
Eleanor is the Doctoral Engagement Officer in the newly established Doctoral College at the University of Bath. Managing a range of projects to improve the student experience, Eleanor works collaboratively across the institution to support and enhance the learning experience of doctoral students and build a student community. Educated at Christ Church, University of Oxford, she has a doctorate in Italian twentieth-century poetry. Her professional career has spanned roles in undergraduate teaching, event management, student recruitment and outreach, communications, and researcher and academic staff development. Whilst at the University of Oxford, she co-founded the Oxford Early Career Academic Outreach Network, a training and communications network for early career academics interested in schools outreach. Eleanor is a passionate advocate for alternatives to an academic career and broadening the researcher experience beyond academia.
