Emily is a CHASE AHRC funded Doctoral Candidate within the School of History at the University of Kent. Her research explores charitable provision for disabled ex-servicemen after the First World War in Britain, with a particular focus on material culture. Emily has recently completed a four-month placement at Bloomsbury Publishing, and is co-founder of the CHASE open-access postgraduate journal Brief Encounters.
