Biography

Emily Cieciura is responsible for supporting EU and international works across all schools/faculty by proactively contributing to their growth and development of EU and international research activity, which includes horizon scanning, strategic targeting of funding sources and opportunities, developing and critiquing proposals with academic colleagues, and developing inter/multidisciplinary research collaborations.  She is also responsible for managing the EU Academic Development Scheme, which is a key development initiative.  As a Chartered Librarian, with not one but two degrees in Librarianship, she maintains contact with the profession as the chair of her local library’s advisory panel. Throughout her working life, she has been committed to acquiring new knowledge and holds the CIM Advanced Certificate in Marketing, BU’s Postgraduate Certificate in HR and the Further Adult Education Teaching Certificate.
