Biography

Frances Burstow is the Strategic Lead for Skills and Methods at the Economic and Social Science Research Council (ESRC).  She has responsibility for the Councils investment in researcher skills development and methodological development and innovation, she also leads on Equality and Diversity for the Council.  She represents ESRC  on the RCUK High Level Steering Group for Equality and Diversity and the RCUK Research Careers and Diversity Group.  She joined the ESRC in 2004 and during this time has had responsibility for research grant funding and the Councils portfolio of longitudinal Studies.  Prior to joining the ESRC Frances worked in a Local Government policy and research unit.
