Dr Gary Williams

Dr Gary Williams is the Senior Research Officer for workplace wellbeing services at Mind. He currently leads on the development and analysis of Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index, a national survey and benchmark of mental health and wellbeing in workplaces across the UK. He also leads the evaluation of Mind’s workplace wellbeing and mental health training courses.

Gary has a BSc and PhD in Psychology from Cardiff University. His academic research focused on psychological wellbeing in the workplace and balancing academic methodological standards with the practical limitations of the work environment. He has applied his postgraduate learning to a variety of organisations and roles, including developing analysis methods and tools for Lloyd’s Banking Group and Welsh Water, recently returning to his roots in mental health and wellbeing research at Mind.
