Biography
Hazel McCullough is the Professional Development and Education Advisor on the Malaria Capacity Development Consortium (MCDC) programme based at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She qualified in nursing at the Royal Brompton Hospital (London) and after a long career in the NHS as a community nurse, senior nurse manager and an NSF Stroke project lead, she moved into higher education as a senior lecturer and later deputy head of practice learning at the University of Chester. She is an educational supervisor on the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (PGCILT) programme and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is currently working with MCDC’s African partner universities to embed sustainable career development support and training for researchers and faculty staff within the practices and processes of the university.
