Herine, is an emerging African researcher driven by a passion to make a positive and lasting impact on Africa’s future. She is specifically interested in strategically contributing to the next generation of African leaders/scholars in Social Research and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics). Her PhD Research is an intervention study exploring the relationship between self-regulated learning (SRL) and students’ relationship with mathematics.
Herine is a founder trustee of Africa MathScience Technology Research and Education Foundation (AMSTREF); an Archbishop Tutu Leadership fellow (http://alinstitute.org/); a member of Global Leadership Interlink (http://glinetwork.org/) and Forum for African Women Educationists-Kenya (http://www.fawe.org/).
