Dr Jenni Chambers

Jenni has worked in higher education policy since 2008 when she joined HEFCE as Policy Advisor specialising in public engagement, joining Research Councils UK in 2015 as Head of Public Engagement with Research and taking up her current UKRI position when the organisation came into being in April 2018. Prior to this Jenni researched Ice Age archaeology, encouraging the public to engage with and value the ancient heritage of the British Isles – for a memorable period this included offering a ‘Pet Rock identification service’.
