Senior Research Facilitator
Biography
I am a Senior Research Facilitator at UCL, responsible for coordinating support for fellowship applications, the Environment Research Domain and overseas research within the BEAMS School (faculties of Built Environment, Maths & Physical Sciences and Engineering Science). I worked as a Research Assistant from 2006 and then Associate, as well as Project Manager, for a Research Centre in Newcastle University - where I was awarded by PhD from the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences as a part time staff candidate. I did a hybrid research and support role for almost 3 years at Newcastle’s Institute for Sustainablity before moving to UCL in a fully Professional Services capacity, facilitating the establishment of an Environment Research Domain. I was appointed Senior Facilitator in January 2018, reporting to the Director of Research Coordination and Planning for BEAMS. I have particular interests in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as supporting UCL’s move towards providing a better environment for postdoctoral researchers to flourish.
