Biography
John Trantom is a Staff Development Adviser at Liverpool John Moores University where he is the Programme Leader for Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) courses (Level 3 Coaching, Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring, Level 5 Leadership) and the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) Developing Professional Practice Award. He designs and delivers bespoke sessions for teams and individuals across the University.
John is a successful mentor on the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's (CIPD) Steps Ahead mentoring scheme for unemployed 18-24 year olds and until recently was a Delivery Partner on the Association of University Administrators (AUA) Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership. He has also been a sessional lecturer in the Liverpool Business School at Liverpool John Moores University.
Prior to working in Staff Development John directed a cross-institutional project (Liverpool John Moores University, University of Liverpool, Liverpool Hope University and University of Chester) brokering support for local SMEs in the form of business development projects fulfilled by university students. He has been Chair of the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) and a member of the National Council for Work Experience (NCWE) Quality Mark Committee Board.
