Biography
Dr Lilian Simones is a Researcher Development Consultant at Queen’s University Belfast, where she supports and guides PhD students and early career researchers successfully navigating the next steps in their chosen career paths, through the design and delivery of innovative learning programmes aimed at developing future ready and resilient researchers. With an interdisciplinary research and educational background which combines Psychology, Education and Gesture Studies she has been project manager for a number of funded research projects in the areas of gesture in instrumental music and attitudes towards music performance modules in HE, resulting in a number of publications in scientific journals. Apart from her current role, she is also the founder and Director of Enact Music and Course Director of the Certificate for Music Educators Level 4, at Enact Music, accredited both by Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
