Biography

Lynne is the Academic Support Manager for Research (interim) in the University of Salford Library team. As part of this role, and as part of her previous role as an Academic Skills Consultant, she has provided training to students (including research) on a variety of academic support needs. Lynne gained her PhD in English Literature, and has published on the uses of comedy in the contemporary Irish novel. She is also a trained improviser, having performed with ComedySportz in Manchester, and as part of the show Questions of England. This has informed her current role, in which she has incorporated improvisation and playful learning into training sessions for research students and other levels.
