Biography

Mark has been working as a researcher developer at the University of Sunderland for 10 years where he organises courses for developing the professional practices of staff and postgraduate researchers (in research). Mark previously gained 17 years of scientific research experience at three research institutions (the Public Health Laboratory Service, Salisbury; the Medical Research Council Centre for Protein Engineering, Cambridge; and the Medical School at Newcastle University) where he worked on proteins, gained a PhD in Carbohydrate Modifying Enzymes, taught undergraduate students and supported the development of other researchers.
