Biography 

The Brilliant Club is an award-winning fair access charity that works with doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, schools and universities to increase fair access to highly selective universities. Mary oversees the work of the charity in the capital, working with 180 schools and over 250 PhD tutors, having first joined the charity as a PhD tutor in October 2012. Whilst undertaking her PhD at King’s College London, Mary completed the King’s Learning Institute’s Graduate Certificate of Academic Practice, and taught undergraduates in the English department for four years. Mary now delivers training to Brilliant Club PhD tutors, particularly in designing literature programmes and facilitating academic discussions with primary and secondary school pupils.
