Biography

Paul has a significant amount of experience researcher development having held roles to support the development of postgraduate research students and research staff for 20 years. Currently based in the University of Bristol Doctoral College, Paul oversees enhancement projects that benefit the Bristol postgraduate researcher community. His own research specialism was in the field of oral microbiology, specifically investigating how microbes on the tongue contribute to oral malodour. Outside of being an expert on bad breath, Paul is a technophile who is not afraid to experiment with different digital communication tools whilst also being a keen curator of music and known to deejay tunes from the 1980s from time to time!
