Biography

Peter Doyle is a visiting Professor at University College London. Formerly Professor of Geology at the University of Greenwich, Peter Doyle served for thirteen years on the university research degrees committee and has supervised a number of PhD candidate, and acted as Research Chair and examiner. In 2003 he worked to develop the University of Greenwich's Key Skills Development Programme, and in 2005 he  designed and developed the successful programme of Key Skills for LSBU. During his time as Key Skills Coordinator at LSBU he has worked to deliver the university's innovative and QAA commended Postgraduate Certificate in Research Skills, taken by all PhD and MPhil candidates. Peter Doyle designed and delivers regular key skills seminars for university staff and postgraduates. In 2013 he helped redesign and develop LSBU's Concordat provision and is a member of the Concordat Working Group that made the successful submission which saw the university be awarded the EC HR Excellence in Research Award in 2014.
