Prof Kita Sotaro

Prof. Sotaro Kita is Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor for Research, and leads research culture agendas at the University of Warwick. He is also the Director of National Centre for Research Culture at the University of Warwick. He is interested in how the UK HE sector can coordinate and collaborate to make the UK the best place to do research. He has a breadth of international experiences. He obtained BEng and Ming from University of Tokyo, and PhD in linguistics and psychology from University of Chicago. After working at Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in the Netherlands as a Senior Researcher, he has held academic posts in the UK: Senior Lecture at the University of Bristol, Reader at the University of Birmingham and Professor at the University of Warwick. His research expertise is psychology of language and communication.
