Biography

Dr Richard Fairchild is Senior Lecturer in Corporate Finance in the School of Management, University of Bath. He also works closely with the Public Engagement Unit in his role as Public Engagement Advocate for Industry. Together with Neal Hinvest, he researches extensively with various industry bodies, particularly in the Finance/banking industry. His industry research collaborations have resulted in publications that have both practical and academic impact.  He is currently working towards an impact case for the next REF. After taking his undergraduate degree in Economics at University of Essex, Richard had extensive experience in working in industry for a number of years, before returning  to academia to undertake his post-graduate studies and then take his post as Senior Lecturer in Corporate Finance in the School of Management, University of Bath.
